A multi-disciplinary marketer with corporate, agency, non-profit and international experience, Susan Halligan has substantial experience creating, leading and implementing a broad range of growth and realignment initiatives that build new audiences. In her consulting practice, she optimizes all organizational marketing investments by strategically integrating digital into existing communication and business platforms by working with internal teams to identify the people, resources and content needed for successful execution and measurable progress.

As Marketing Director of the New York Public Library (NYPL), Susan established the first-ever marketing department for the 100-year-old institution and helped transition the library from traditional communication platforms, rebranding it as a digital non-profit leader.

Susan has a deep background in partnership marketing and sponsorship, having worked for IMG for seven years with the Smithsonian Institution, the United States Olympic Committee and the Nobel Institute. At NYPL, she created partnerships with the Wall Street Journal, Major League Baseball, Fresh Direct, Foursquare, Social Media Week, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Starbucks.

Panel and moderator appearances include Social Media Week, the co-keynote, “The Connected Network,” at London’s Arts Marketing Association’s Digital Marketing Day, Municipal Arts Society, Likeable U, Book Expo America, Media Bistro’s App Summit and Arts Reach (the Association of Arts Management, Marketing and Development Professionals).
